A STAR IS BORN

Picture this…. Two women running corporations, fundraising for community causes and nurturing families of their own. And then a shared vision; one that fills a need with the founding of Star Children’s Charity, Inc. Now picture this…..the vision unfolds, and a Star is born! This is the story of Star.

With an eye for a professional business approach to fundraising, we developed a plan that would further educate Collin County of the many unmet needs of its children. The plan was to include residents across Collin County for Star’s membership in order to generate a united effort. Next, our plan provided for a platform for numerous children’s non-profit agencies to receive funds each year generated from Star’s annual fundraising. These local beneficiaries will be selected by active members through a rigorous grant process. Our focus is two-fold. We endeavor to raise the bar when it comes to awareness of children’s needs and to sustain agencies that serve these children.

We still run companies, have families to love and take care of, and now we share with Star’s members the added joy and blessings of being part of the birth of Star Children’s Charity, Inc. This effort is monumental and requires collaboration of many. Star’s membership will be inclusive of both men and women with leadership qualities, fundraising experience and a passion for making a difference in children’s lives.

We will produce unparalleled fundraising events for sponsors desiring premier visibility while gaining the fulfilling benefit of sustaining our county’s necessary children’s agencies. From a runway of luxury fashion flair and panache, to a top-flite golf event, to an unforgettable Winter Ball…..we hope you will join us. Whether it is for membership, sponsorship, voluntarism or to attend an event, we welcome you to this journey. The kids of our community are counting on you.

Star Children’s Charity is a fundraising organization. Funds produced by annual events are distributed to Collin County agencies that serve children. These beneficiary recipients will vary from year to year and will be considered by application only. Star’s membership will apply strict criteria in its selection of beneficiaries each year.

There is no better way to serve ones community than by serving its smallest and most deserving citizens – its children. Star Children’s Charity is founded on the belief that all children should have hope for their future and receive assistance when they are in need. Whether it’s for basic life needs or medically, academically or educationally related needs, we want to help provide a foundation for the children of our community to compete globally. It is with this focus in mind that we endeavor to support the non-profit organizations serving the children of Collin County.

By producing world-class fundraising events each year, the men and women of Star will raise funds for distribution to agencies serving children. It is our hope that these events will attract individual and corporate philanthropic dollars as well as create a sense of community.
